We've designed the Clubhouse to serve as the heart of this warm,
friendly and active community, where the beauty of time with
friends and family is every bit as integral to each day as
the coastal beauty of the marshes and water that surround it.

While the Clubhouse expansion reflects Dataw's commitment to maintaining
the architectural heritage of the existing facility, with its
sweeping staircases and tall windows that recall the best
traditions of the Lowcountry, it also reflects a dedication to
the welcoming spirit that residents here cherish. The Carolina Room
seats 225 members at tables of eight, perfect for large
gatherings and memorable evenings with old and new friends
alike. The room is also divisible into two smaller
rooms, thanks to a stowaway wall. This flexibility makes the
Carolina Room suitable for everything from movie nights to Super
Bowl parties - and rest assured, it's used for those two
fun-filled events and much, much more. Best of all, this room
offers panoramic views over Jenkins Creek for a constant
reminder of how much the calm waters and lush foliage of our
coastal island contribute to the beauty of life at Dataw.

In addition to the large, attractive Carolina Room, an expanded kitchen gives our professional staff plenty of room to prepare their highly revered brand of fresh, gourmet culinary treats for residents enjoying both Carolina Room functions and a la carte meals in the Grill Room. The Grill Room, which offers comfortably elegant dining, was expanded to two levels from its previous single-level layout. The reception area not only provides a gracious entry to the Clubhouse, but also gives residents a place to mingle before proceeding to dinner.
Perfect for informal gatherings after a day of golfing or boating, the Pub and Sports Bar is a favorite community hang-out, whether for a quick drink or an afternoon watching the big game with fellow fans. A lounge area overlooking the marsh provides a comfortable spot for relaxing before dinner and visiting with friends.
